This week, Mondaq’s most popular environmental article, worldwide, was our 10 Things that You Need to Know about Contaminated Sites. According to Mondaq, it is the world’s largest legal news network, so this is quite a compliment. Of course, faithful readers of this blog see the same articles before they reach Mondaq, plus special extra information such as this week’s presentation on Tricks and Traps on Contaminated Sites, which is posted on our contaminated sites page. And we have a lot of faithful readers — more than 85,000 hits since we relaunched the blog on WordPress last year. Thank you so much for making us part of your week! I want to particularly thank everyone who has posted a comment — it is much more interesting to be part of a conversation than to just send missives into cyberspace.

It is commendable to note that a large amount of people are joining this conversation. Of course there are a lot of grey areas in these issues that need to be sorted out. As we learn more about the impact of our pollution on the environment, we need to rewrite our laws in a more comprehensive manner. At Climatarians, our global sustainability directory, we index a number of websites and blogs that address these issues.
