		<description>Thanks for this.  I am a student studying for the Horticulturalists Certificate at Guelph University.  We have been encouraged to read about phytoremediation.  One of my classmates raised the question of &quot;what happens to the plants used&quot;  and &quot;what about the birds and bees that feed off the plants used in phytoremediation&quot;.    I have just spent a couple of hours trying to find out with not much success.  Everything I read is very vague about what happens to the plants used.  I get the impression they are incinerated or landfilled but no one seems to want to talk about it.  So it was a relief to read your blog which does raise the possibility of &quot;downsides&quot; to this process.  Thanks
